Bedwetting: A Problem for the Entire Family

Bedwetting is a universal problem that knows no racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, or economic boundary. Anyone can be afflicted and there seems to be no cure for the problem.

Most doctors will tell parents that the child will eventally ‘grow out’ of the problem, but unfortunately many suffer with this affliction throughout their teen years and even into adulthood. Some very extreme measures have been used by parents to ‘encourage’ the child to awaken at night, many involving scare tactics or punishments. The emotional damage to self-image and self-confidence can last a lifetime.

The stress affects not only the bedwetter but their entire family. The extra work involved with the daily changing and washing of bed linens, the frustration of parents looking for a solution, the feeling of embarrassment… the list is endless.

The inability of the patient to be awakened by the nerve signal being sent from the bladder to the brain has puzzled clinicians for years.

Today, thanks to a team of dedicated healthcare practitioners, a nutritional solution for all but the most advanced or pathological cases has been found.

Clinical studies began in 1995 and we are happy to announce that help has arrived. This program is relatively inexpensive, non-invasive and easy-to-use. It involves a physical examination by a trained healthcare professional, dietary changes and, when appropriate, nutritional supplementation.

Each patient will be examined and a urine specimen analyzed to screen out possible disease or pathological disorder. If such a problem is found, the patient will promptly be referred to an appropriate healthcare practitioner. However, pathological causes of bedwetting are uncommon.

Many theories abound when it comes to explaining the cause of bedwetting, but nothing has ever proven to be successful. Essentially we know that bedwetting can be caused by several factors: (1) a urological disease affecting either the urinary bladder or the nervous system; (2) a nutritional problem; or (3) a physical misalignment of the pelvis causing weakness of the pelvic musculature that supports the urinary bladder. Your healthcare practitioner is trained in recognizing and treating these problems. All that is needed is the patient’s cooperation and most cases are resolved quickly and easily.

It all started here…

This program has been developed under the guidance of Dr. Howard Loomis, who has worked his entire professional career on nutritionally-related problems, beginning with problems of digestion and utilization of nutrients contained in the diet.

Dr. Loomis, a pioneer in the use of plant enzyme supplements, has found that many patients who eat too much sugar have tendencies toward many different types of annoying symptoms, including bedwetting. For several years, Dr. Loomis worked on a solution to this puzzling problem and finally he understood that vitamin and mineral imbalances associated with inadequate carbohydrate digestion and assimilation combined with other possible nutritional deficiencies were the major factor.

Since no pharmaceutical answer has ever been found, no drugs are used in this revolutionary approach. The healthcare practitioners who incorporate this treatment procedure into their practice are all dedicated professionals who believe in natural and common sense approaches to non-disease or pathological problems such as enuresis (bedwetting).
